Age: 2 years old  Sex: Male  Breed: Staffy Cross

Diesel arrived in rescue the week before Christmas 2017.

Diesel was a nervous wreck when he arrived. He initially struggled in kennels as he has been used to the company of the dogs he lived with before. The strange experience was quite daunting to Diesel so he was a priority for foster.

Diesel has come on leaps and bounds in the last two weeks he spent in foster care, as you can see from the pictures he certainly made himself at home!

Diesel does need an owner who will be with him most of the time as he does not cope well with being alone throughout the day. He does now sleep alone in his crate through the night though. His foster family have been working on his crate training and separation anxiety by crating him in another room, and we would like Diesel's forever family to keep up this training. Potential owners for Diesel need to understand his separation anxiety and be prepared to work on it with him.

His foster family are also working on his lead training as he is very timid outside, he's very nervous of cars and buses so his new family will need to be mindful of this and help with some positive reinforcement training.

His foster family say:-

Diesel is the most loving dog and will reward you with the little wagging tail and is most overjoyed to see you. Also, we feel this man would be best in a cat free home. Although he has lived with cats previously he wants to play with ours and chase her. This boy needs teaching as he doesn't know any commands, we're teaching him to sit at the minute. He really is the most adorable dog and once you earn his trust he will love you endlessly. He loves human food the little monkey!! He's putting on weight and in a few months I'm sure his progress will be huge.

He has lived with dogs and cats before, but we will be looking for a child-free home for him.
